Get Fucked are Nils Hess and Nathan Coles. The story of Nils Hess begins back in 1988 in Grimsby (Cleethorpes) on a beach of all places. From the humble beginnings of playing next to the ocean & building a strong following in the north, Nils Hess started his first DJ residency at Grimsby's Customs House. It had just been converted into a nightclub having obtained one of the UK's first all night licenses. Nils became resident on both Friday & Saturday nights. He soon started playing all over Europe & with his fluent command of German became a firm favourite there. In 1990 his Grimsby residency ended & he moved to London. He kept strong links with the North & continued to play at clubs like The Hacienda. Whilst in London he started his own night at The Fridge, Brixton. The aptly named Jelly in the Fridge fast became a hotbed of talent as proved by the many guest DJs and live acts including Ian B, Eddie Richards, Colin Dale, Colin Faver, Carl Cox, Mr C, The Shamen, Orbital, LFO, Nightmares on Wax & The Prodigy. Between '91 & '93 his style moved towards breakbeats & hardcore, under the guise of The Puppetmaster. He took his sound to Manheim (Germany) and clubs like Milk Club & X's, bringing people like Brian Gee, Jumping Jack Frost, Grooverider, Fabio, Ray Keith & Nicky Blackmarket with him. As a producer Nils has recorded under a number of aliases like Flunkies for Loaded (div. Skint Records) but most notably as Reck (his techno guise) & Get Fucked (with Nathan Coles).
Receiving consistent recognition for his work, Nils' music regularly reaches the dance charts like Music Week's Cool Cuts & 7's Buzz Chart as well as getting plays from a range of DJs including Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Boy George & Gilles Peterson as well as the underground DJ fraternity. Clubs that Nils has played include Tresor, Sage, Milk, Omen, Tribal Gathering (all Germany), Home (Deep South resident), Fabric, The End, The Fridge, Heaven, The Soundshaft, Brixton Academy and more recently Gatecrasher and Renaissance - plus various other European and International venues. In the year 2002, “Ministry Magazine” have listed him in their Top 5 Stars of 2002. Actually Nils is touring a lot in England, France, Spain, Eastern Europe and South America.
Nathan Coles, resident at Fabric in his hometown London, enjoyed his musical journey at such seminal clubs as Spectrum at Heaven and the Sunrise parties where the first generation of House Music entranced a whole generation. Nathan was there at the very beginning, ready to make his mark. Armed with a 10.000 watt grin, and almost superhuman reserves of stamina, Nathan bumped and hustled his way into the hot, humid netherworld of the warehouse party scene, and in alliance with Mr C he launched the legendary “Release” parties. it was in 1994 however that he really cemented his lofty position in House Music's Hall of Fame when he and Terry Francis begun the infamous “Wiggle” parties, and in the process, gave birth to musical movement in London - now known as Tech-House. “Wiggles”´s far-reaching reputation was officially recognized when it was nominated for “Best Underground Club” at the “Muzik Magazin SAS awards”. In this respect Nathan can justifiably be called a musical pioneer, having spent the last 15 years as a kind of roving ambassador of Tech-House, laying down rapturously-received sets of loose-limbed, funk-fuelled House in an array of venues all over the world, such as: Space, Pacha, Bora Bora, Underground (Ibiza), D Edge and Lov E (Sao Paulo), Mint (Buenos Aires),The Milwegg, Stalker, Now Wow, Impulse, The Caves & Ofcorso (Holland), The Zouk (Singapore) Aria (Montreal), Folis Pigalle, RedLight , The Rex & FatKat (France) The Roxy & Summer of Love (Czech Republic) The Bomb, Turnmills, The End, Back 2 Basics and Shindig... to name but a few. Nathan has also aquired a reputation as an excellent producer, having built up an essential portfolio of House and Breaks releases on labels such as Loaded, Visitor, Plank, 10 Kilo, Household, The End, Eukahouse and Funk'd (offshoot of Jamayka). He has worked with the best, such as Mathew Bushwaka! Nils Hess, Asad Rizvin (Two Right Wrongans), Gareth Oxbey and Terry Francis.
The “Get Fucked sound” has captured London's tech-house scene very fast and their album “Wet Dreams” reached No. 9 in Muzik Magazines top albums of 2000, beating the likes of Radiohead and Bent. Get Fucked aka Nils Hess and Nathan Coles have also done remixes for Kool and the Gang feat. Lauren Hill, Kurtis Blow, DJ Pierre, John Beltran, Bad Meets Evil featuring Eminem, Hardfloor, George Morel and Oliver Lieb.
