Luis Novo is living and producing in the city Faro the capital city of the province Algarve which is located on the atlantic-ocean. The Algarve is one of the most beautiful coast areas of Europe and for a lot of artists a source of Inspiration.
Maybe because of this Luis Novo has called his album "Love Addiction", for nearly all tracks deal with love, feelings, and all events and experiences attached to them. "Our whole life is about love", says the Portuguese maker of Bioground, "our souls, our hearts, and our laughing needs love, this is the only way to feel alive". Biogrounds texts, however, do not deal with the typical love story, but observe and describe the many facettes of love: sometimes nice, sometimes painful, sometimes full of lust and sex. Luis Novo creates an incomparable atmosphere with his tracks, he takes his listeners and all their senses on a musical journey that offers a lot: "Smooth Summer Nights" and "Taxing My Soul (Bioground's Exquisite Dub)", for example, create a warm and thighly-woven carpet of sound, "Hazel Eyes (Bioground's Bossahouse Remake)" is more a Brazilian style House track, that is making people dance. With "Lip Service", a downtempo Trip-Hop track, Luis Novo criticizes the social behaviour of many people who pretend to be interested in their fellow beings, but in truth they do not care.
The album "Love Addiction" is a symbiosis of Deep and Tech House, every track contains atmospheric elements and catchy melodies, driving, hypnotizing beats, and exciting vocals. Invited by Luis Novo, many excellent singers have contributed to the new Bioground album: Jon Silva (Pesto Music; Soda Inc.), Joeee (The Netherlands), Chelonis R. Jones (Get Physical Music; Electro-Soul-Track "I don't know"), Alexandra Hamnede (Sweden; a.o. working with Noel Hogan, Cranberries) and Karlyn (aka DJ LadyHouse, San Francisco), the sexy voice of the excellent single "We are House" (plax038-6).
With "Love Addiction", Luis Novo has created a musical work of art that is full of all sorts of different sounds and colours. The listeners will dance, dream, float, and get lost within the songs.
